How do I export the video from IdentiLynx to post on the web?
Drag a box around the area you want, mark the first and last frame with the player controls, then Image | Export video writes an .avi file.
FinishLynx exports IdentiLynx (IDL) video as an .avi file. Several newer IDL features are described in the release notes, so it is worth reading them to use the camera fully.
- Do not click inside the IDL image, or you will select a single pixel to export on every frame.
- To export a specific area, left-click, hold and drag a box around the part of the image you want.
- Use the player controls at the top left of the image box: go to your start frame and choose First, then to your end frame and choose End.
- Go to Image | Export video.
- Play the file in a media player to check the quality.
The release notes also cover adding images (such as a company logo) and a running time stamp to each frame. A tiny file or a black screen in the player is covered under Video export issues in Troubleshoot.
