Automatic capture isn't triggering. How do I keep capturing?
Switch the camera to manual capture for now: Camera Settings | Capture tab, tick Manual, and capture with the button or the keyboard.
- From the Hardware Control window, open Camera Settings | Capture.
- Tick Manual and click OK, then capture with the capture button, or with the keyboard (see The capture button stopped working mid-meet).
Between races, check why Automatic didn't fire. Automatic capture must be set in both places: Capture Method set to Automatic on the camera's Capture tab (with Manual unchecked), and the capture icon in the event window showing its enabled state. On a new computer, camera settings don't carry over, so set Capture Method again, and check in Help | About that the Automatic Capture plug-in is listed with its serial.
Under indoor lighting or at dusk, automatic capture can miss athletes because the image is too dark for it to trigger. Fix the image first: The image is too dark at dusk or under lights.
