I get "Error accessing a file" when saving a race. What does it mean?
FinishLynx couldn't write the race file. If the Event Directory is on a network drive, point it at a local folder on the FinishLynx computer.
This appears when FinishLynx can't write the race file where the Event Directory points. If your Event Directory (Event | Options) is on a network drive, point it at a local folder on the FinishLynx computer and save again.
A related message, "Error reading from file" when opening a saved event, usually means the event was saved by a different FinishLynx version: check Help | About on the computer that saved it and on the one opening it.
If the error keeps coming back, this needs Lynx support. Every FinishLynx message and code is listed with its page under Error messages and codes.
