Picture is the wrong size or cut off

The display shows the top-left corner of the computer screen at the panel resolution. The software that draws the picture (FinishLynx with camera VDM, or ResulTV) has to be set to the same size as the display, or the layout ends up cut off or small in one corner. Follow the one step below that matches your setup.

How to fix it

Match the size in the software

  1. FinishLynx with camera VDM: go to Scoreboard | Options…, select the display's scoreboard and set Width and Height to the display size. Set Rotate to Off and Size to 3, click OK and restart FinishLynx.
    • The Infield display is 416 x 208 (the value is also on the Lynx USB drive). The Portable Display's size is on its Resolution label.
  2. ResulTV with an Infield display: go to File | Open… and open the 2x1_Video Display.rtv layout. Then go to Layout | Edit Object and set Width and Height on the Basic tab to 416 x 208. Click OK.
  3. ResulTV with a 360: go to File | Options… | General and set Profile to Video-360 (single) for a one-tier build or Video-360 (double) for a two-tier build. Click OK, then exit and restart ResulTV.
  4. ResulTV with a Portable Display: in the same General tab, select the Video-Portable profile, click OK, then exit and restart ResulTV.

360 only, if it still does not fit

  1. The panels' sending card has a Source Configuration resolution that must match the resolution your laptop is set to. Check it in NovaLCT on the Sending Card tab of Screen Configuration.
    • The steps, including the USB cable and login, are in the re-programming section of the 360 electrical setup guide: single or double.

For the camera VDM sizing problem where the display shows one big letter, see Initial connection. For a ResulTV layout built for a different screen size, see Layout is the wrong size or cut off.
