Frame assembly and panel mounting

The Infield displays are an aluminum extrusion frame with four LED panels per side that lock to each other and hang on keyholed uprights. Most build problems come from nut plates or T-nuts seated the wrong way in the slots, or panels that were hung but not locked together.

How to fix it

Before you build an Infield display

  • Use the included 3/16" and 6 mm T-handle hex drivers.
  • Work in this order: the assembly instructions for your display (1-Sided, 2-Sided or 3-Sided), then the Foam tape installation, then the electrical setup guide.
  • Orientation matters when you slide Single, Double and Triple Nut Plates into the T-slots, and a Roll-in T-Nut must be rotated into the slot until it seats. The assembly instructions show the right and wrong way.

Hang the LED panels

  1. Join the panels edge to edge and engage the locks between them. Secure each joint with the MH-LVP mounting hardware.
    • The lock details are in Appendix A of the assembly instructions (the Solecolor P5.95 catalog).
  2. Hang the panel group on the keyholes in the uprights and lower it so it seats against the wall.
  3. Once all four panels are on the wall, engage the locks along every shared edge so the side is one solid face.
  4. Fit the two crossmembers horizontally behind the panels and fasten them to the uprights.
  5. Fit the top, bottom and end filler panels, then drape the black vinyl cover over the rear.
  6. Keep the panel order in mind for the wiring that comes next: from the back, panels run 1 to 4 with Panel 1 taking the power and signal. See Some panels dark or picture out of order.

Stands, wheels and cases

  • Portable Display: a tripod mount in the center of the bottom (tripod not included; it is compatible with the BG3036 Lynx camera tripod), angled feet to lean it back on the ground, or straight feet to stand it flat. Swap feet with the included wrench and extra screws. See the Portable Display QSG.
  • Infield display: the optional wheel assembly for 2- and 3-sided units lets you move it within the infield or between events. It adds 11 cm to the height. The 1-Sided installation diagrams show the rear brace.
  • 360: assembly is shown in the Lynx 360 Display basic setup video. Hook the trolley handle to the frame to roll it, and use the wheeled storage case for transport.
