Disarm an armed event

An event is armed as soon as its Event Window opens: it takes the next start signal. Disarm it when that event shouldn't get a start, and re-arm it after a false start or a test start.

How to fix it

Disarm an event

  1. Click Event | Disarm
    • The event that was armed is disarmed, and start signals are no longer applied to it

Re-arm after a false start or a test start

  1. Click Event | Arm, or press Ctrl+A
    • The Armed indicators come back and the event is ready for the next start. This is quicker than closing the event and creating a new one
    • If the real start was missed, see Recover a race after a missed start

Time trial events

  • A time trial event stays armed after each start comes in, so it can take every competitor's start. Disarm it with Event | Disarm once all the starts have been received

See Arming, Re-Arming & Disarming and the Time Trial plug-in in the manual.
