FieldLynx fails to receive a wind reading even though the gauge is connected and working. How can I correct this?
If the gauge counts down and reads, check its battery and the USB-to-serial adapter; try the camera's C-Box or serial port instead. If the countdown never starts, check the connections and the Wind options.
If the wind gauge starts its countdown and takes a reading, check:
- The battery in the gauge. A low battery can cause the failure; try mains power to see whether it works with enough power.
- The USB-to-serial adapter. On some computers the adapter sends commands but never receives data. Try connecting the gauge to the camera's C-Box or the serial port on the camera back instead.
If the countdown does not start at all, check your connections and the setup in the Wind options. Troubleshoot also has No wind readings for the FinishLynx side.
