The wireless start won't work and the meet can't wait. What's the fallback?
Run a wired start for the rest of the session: connect the start sensor by cable to the camera or connection box, set the Inputs tab to match, and set the RadioLynx port to None.
- Connect the start sensor by cable to the camera's connection box (C-Box) or the start input on the camera back.
- In Camera Settings | Inputs, set the start sensor to match it: Closed for the standard wired sensor, Open for a wired electronic gun.
- On the RadioLynx tab, set Port to None so FinishLynx stops waiting for the radio.
- Load the event again and tap the sensor to confirm a start comes in.
If no start of any kind is available, manual starts keep the meet going: set the start sensor to None, then for each race click Event | Manual Start and press the Space bar when the gun fires. Manual starts are only accurate to a tenth of a second.

- Why isn't my RadioLynx working properly? — Work through the paperclip test to find which part has failed: the transmitter beeping with the start says whether the sensor and cable are fine, and the test needs only an unfolded paperclip.
- RadioLynx sent the start but FinishLynx never got it. Can I still time the race? — Yes. Press Repeat on the transmitter before the next gun: it resends the last start with its original time, so the race is still timed correctly.
- "All start sensors failed to arm" pops up when I open an event. What now? — FinishLynx can't see a start input it expects. Set both start tabs in Camera Settings to match how you really start races, even the one you don't use, then load the event again.
