Why isn't my RadioLynx working properly?
Work through the paperclip test to find which part has failed: the transmitter beeping with the start says whether the sensor and cable are fine, and the test needs only an unfolded paperclip.
There is a series of steps to find the cause, and all you need is an unfolded paperclip. Start with Transmitter beeps with start in Troubleshoot, or follow the paperclip test in Transmitter doesn't beep with start.
If the start only works close to the camera, misses some starts, or picks up another meet's starter, see Only works close to the camera, Misses some starts and Changing frequency. To save a race the start missed, see Recover a race after a missed start.

- RadioLynx works most of the time but misses some starts. What do I check? — Recover the race with Repeat first. Then check the antennas, cable an electronic gun to the transmitter instead of using a sound sensor, tighten the input cable, run the paperclip test and charge the transmitter.
- RadioLynx sent the start but FinishLynx never got it. Can I still time the race? — Yes. Press Repeat on the transmitter before the next gun: it resends the last start with its original time, so the race is still timed correctly.
- The wireless start won't work and the meet can't wait. What's the fallback? — Run a wired start for the rest of the session: connect the start sensor by cable to the camera or connection box, set the Inputs tab to match, and set the RadioLynx port to None.
- Why do I keep getting an "Error arming event" message even though the RadioLynx is connected and working fine? — The wired start input is still on. Set Gun Sensor to None on the Input tab, then check the RadioLynx tab points at where the receiver is really plugged in.
