Whole display is blank
The Infield and 360 displays get their picture over HDMI from the computer into the LED Sending Box, then over a signal cable into Panel 1. Power also enters at Panel 1 and passes to the other panels through jumper cables. A blank display almost always means one link in that chain is missing or not locked in.
How to fix it
Check the power
- The Power Input Cable is plugged into the power source and into Panel 1. On a 360 it goes into the connector with the blue sticker.
- Every power connector is inserted, twisted and clicked so it locks.
- The LED Sending Box has its own power cable, and it is plugged in.
Check the signal chain
- Plug the HDMI cable into the computer's HDMI port and the other end into the DVI port on the LED Sending Box, using the DVI-to-HDMI adaptor.
- Plug the Long Signal Input cable into the Sending Box output and into the Signal Input connector on Panel 1.
- Infield display: the Sending Box output is display port A.
- 360: the Sending Box output is OUT1, and the Panel 1 connector is the bottom one with the blue sticker.
- Look at the display. It should now show the top-left corner of your computer screen.
- If it does, the hardware works and the problem is in the software. See Desktop shows but no results.
- If some panels light and others stay dark, see Some panels dark or picture out of order.
The wiring diagrams are in the electrical setup guide for your display: 1-Sided, 2-Sided, 3-Sided, 360 single or 360 double.
The Lynx Portable Display has no sending box: it connects straight to the camera or the ResulTV computer over HDMI. For a blank Portable Display, see Lynx Portable Display.
Good to know
The USB cable is only for programming the panels. The display runs without it, so an unplugged USB cable is never the cause.
